Terms of Service

Last updated: May 7, 2026

Working draft. Final wording will be reviewed by counsel before public launch.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Starlog, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Your account

You sign in using Google or Apple. You're responsible for keeping your authentication credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old, or have your parent's permission, to use Starlog.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Starlog to break the law.
  • Upload content that infringes anyone's rights or violates privacy.
  • Attempt to interfere with the service's integrity or other users' accounts.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise copy the app for competitive purposes.

4. Your content, your data

The receipts you capture and the data you enter belong to you. We claim no ownership of your content. We process it strictly to provide the service.

When you connect Google Drive, your receipt files live in your Drive — under your account, your storage, your control. You can disconnect Drive or delete the files at any time. Stopping Starlog doesn't delete your Drive files.

5. Owners and submitters

Owners can invite submitters to a company. By accepting an invite, the submitter agrees to share their submitted receipts with the inviting owner. Owners are responsible for the use they make of submitter data.

6. Intellectual property

The Starlog name, logo, app, and website are owned by Starlance Group. These Terms don't grant you any right to our brand assets beyond personal use of the service.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep Starlog reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

8. Termination

You can stop using Starlog at any time and delete your account from our delete-account page or from inside the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Starlog is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Starlance Group is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms over time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
